I believe each person is unique and has within him or herself the ability to learn new techniques and skills, to heal from trauma and losses, to cope with what feels like the unbearable. There is HOPE in all aspects of life, loss, grief, and crisis. Each person has the ability to access their strength and courage in order to grow, learn, transition, adjust, and heal from whatever event has occurred in their past, or from what they are currently facing in their present. I have an eclectic and holistic approach to my work with clients. I utilize cognitive behavioral, systems model, insight oriented, equine guided education, solution focused techniques amongst a variety of models and theories which I have explored over the years. For those who are artistic I enjoy bringing elements of creative self expression into the therapy so as to access emotion through mediums beyond words. As a therapist with a degree in Social Work, I like to offer education and community resources to my clients which might compliment our work together.

In July of 2011, I traveled to Sky Horse Ranch in Northern California for three weeks to train in Equine Guided Education therapeutic offerings under the guidance of Ariana Strozzi and her herd of wise horses. I am evolving my practice to include EGE offerings through both workshops and individual work. Individual sessions and workshops are currently being offered in Issaquah, Washington.
